All reigns come to an end. After two successful weeks at no. 1 on the Billboard 200, Jay-Z is now playing second fiddle to Pearl Jam.
Although falling to the no. 2 spot, Hov still continues to keep registers ringing. According to the Nielsen SoundScan Hov’s eleventh solo LP, The Blueprint 3, sold 134,100 units this week, making the living rap legend’s overall stats stand at 908,100.
Drake was able to hold onto his Top 10 membership this sales cycle, landing at no. 9. Drizzy managed to outsell fellow Universal artist Kid Cudi this go-round, selling 36,100 units of his So Far Gone EP –a condensed retail version of his popular mixtape from earlier this year. After two weeks Drizzy has officially broke 100K, with 109,700 in sales.
Falling six spots to no. 16 is the Black Eyed Peas’s latest disc, The E.N.D. (Energy Never Dies). The group pushed 29,000 CDs off the shelves this week, bringing their 16-week total to 1,140,300.
Cudi surprisingly slid thirteen spots to no. 17 in his sophomore week, after last week’s impressive debut. The Cleveland rapper’s project, Man on the Moon: End of Day was still able to scoop up 28,300 in sales, making his two-week tally stand at 132,600.
Baton Rouge rep Lil Boosie also took a big dip in his second week, slipping from no. 7 to no. 30. Superbad: The Return of Boosie Bad Azz sold 15,000 units this week, bringing his total to 63,900.
Punching in at no. 40 is Raekwon’s Only Built 4 Cuban Linx…Pt. 2. The critically-acclaimed LP knocked out another 12,000 units this week, putting The Chef’s overall numbers above the 100K mark, at 101,200 after three weeks.
