Another note from pop culture: First lady Michelle Obama will be taking questions from NBC talk show host Jay Leno this Friday.
Mrs. Obama will participate in Leno's "Ten @ Ten" segment, in which the big-jawed comedian poses ten joke-y questions to special guests, which have ranged from celebrities like Cameron Diaz and Tom Cruise to such political figures as Barney Frank and John McCain.
Of course ten is a big number for Leno, NBC, and maybe all of television, The former Tonight Show star's move to the 10 p.m. slot, five night a week, is one of the most watched events of the television season, as broadcast networks struggle to hold audiences. (That's Obama and Leno in 2008, during the Tonight Show gig.)
One of Leno's best Q-and-As came with Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius -- who talked a little basketball smack to her boss. Video
LENO: Who would win in a game of horse, you or President Obama?Bring it on, indeed. Be interesting to see if the first lady gets in a few digs at the Big Guy.
SEBELIUS: You know, I actually made my college basketball team.
LENO: Oh! Oh!
SEBELIUS: You know? Bring it on.
1 What you Think?:
i LOVE Michelle!
