KANSAS CITY, Kan. -- Kansas City, Kan., police are investigating a man's death near North 10th Street and Ford Avenue Friday afternoon.
Police said they were called to the home at 3:26 p.m. on reports of a burglary in progress.Authorities said that when officers arrived, they found a man in his 50s who had been shot. He died before emergency crews could get him to a hospital.Police said they don't have any information on the shooter.Neighbor Michelle Lopez said she knew the couple who lived at the home and said they were "inseparable.""They were a very sweet and happy couple," she said. "I'm sure (the victim's wife) is taking things hard right now because that was her husband."
