Lil Wayne Tells Groupie Boys Get The F**K out The Hood

The guys, who looked to be in their late teens/early twenties were riding around Wayne’s neighborhood, bumping the YMCMB artist’s music before actually running into Weezy at his front door.

For the longest time, the two stalk the car of a decidedly attractive female who pays him a visit to try and figure out just what’s going on over there. Just when they think they’re getting somewhere– Wayne appears at his front door with a big bodyguard. He reprimands the guys for trespassing and makes sure that they know not to come back.

“get the f–k out this neighborhood or get your head knocked the f–k off. Do that. Get the f–k out this neighborhood homie.”

Drake and Lil Wayne Cancel "Watch the Throne"

After revealing a joint album in the works with Lil Wayne, Drake tells XXL that he and Weezy have decided to cancel the project due to comparisons to the Throne album. Least he has Rozay.

Me and Wayne scrapped the idea of a collaboration album. We just agreed that it would be looked upon as…It would be sort of this competition [with Watch The Throne]. I feel like it would get caught in this whirlwind of hype. [Wayne] agreed. We just said, ‘If we do it, we’ll do it down the line. But right now is not the time.’”

Young Money With Their Own Branded Debit Cards, Available Soon To Fans. [Video]

Well, the credit cards are actually pre paid debit cards branded with the YM logo. Mack Maine told Boombox that fans will soon have the opportunity to cop one of their own. Possibly with the logo of their favorite crew member on it.

Get yours soon Check Back For website

"It is true, so make sure the fans and the people that are interested sign up. It's a prepaid card. We're not starting it out with each member having their own card just yet. It's just pretty much a Young Money card and then we'll branch out to like Nicki Minaj pink cards, maybe having Wayne and Drake cards being like the black cards. You know, just different levels of it. Maybe have Twist and Chuckee for the younger crowd. We'll make sure each member has it as we learn the ropes." Mack said.

While on the set of Mack Maine's upcoming video "All In One Swipe", Mack and Bow Wow show off their black and platinum YM cards.

Once the cards are available, stores like Target will offer discounts to customers who use them instead of cash.

Jay-Z Calls Lil Wayne 'He's Just A Sport

Get More: Music News

Last month, Wayne's song "It's Good" leaked days before the release of his Carter IV album, and the Cash Money MC seemed to have a few choice words for Jay and his lady on the track.

"Talkin' bout Baby money? I got your baby money/ Kidnap your bitch, get that how-much-you-love-your-lady money," Wayne spits on the song. To many, it was a direct response to Jay's supposed jab at Young Money's head honcho and his adoptive "father," Bryan "Baby" Williams, on "H.A.M."

On the Watch the Throne track, Jay raps, "I'm like, 'Really, half-a-billi?' N---a, really, you got Baby money/ Keep it real with n---as, n---as ain't got my lady money."

Wayne recently downplayed talk of a feud between the rappers in a Vibe magazine cover story, saying music isn't about competition anymore, and adding that he didn't think there would be any repercussions as a result of his song. "Every man should know the repercussions and consequences behind whatever they do before they do it. And of course, I know there won't be any repercussions behind what I did."

Jay-Z told us he didn't want to dwell on the topic, especially considering the education fundraiser was about a positive cause. But he didn't have much to say about Wayne's "It's Good," other than that it was to be expected in hip-hop.

"That's sport, that's rap music," Jay said. "Nothing is going to change but the participants. I don't even see why that's news."

His 2010 albums ‘Rebirth’ and ‘I Am Not A Human Being’ (released while he was in jail), however, only sold 176,000 and 110,000 copies in it’s first week, respectively.

Lil Wayne Says He'd Retire To Be A Better Dad

During a radio interview with Hot 97's Angie Martinez in March, the 28-year-old said he's walking away at 35. Then Weezy switched up, telling XXL that he would be "gone by 31." Now, Lil Tunechi, who dropped his Sorry 4 the Wait mixtape on Wednesday, tells MTV News that he isn't sure when exactly he will walk away from rap.
"I'm not sure; I'm not gonna Brett Favre y'all," Wayne said referring to the former Green Bay Packers quarterback who finally handed the NFL his walking papers in January after years of talking about it. "I'm not gonna draw it all the way out the whole year: 'We wondering, is Wayne gonna do this?' But the honest answer is I don't know."
Wayne — who has already recorded eight solo albums, sold more than 10 million records and won four Grammy Awards — said he wants to focus less on making hits and more on his kids. His oldest daughter, Reginae, is a budding performer herself at age 12, and Weezy wants his little girl to eventually stunt like her daddy.
"I'm so settled in my life right now," he told us. "I have my kids; they're wonderful. My daughter has her career ahead of her now. I have to focus on that, and I have to put the same focus that I put in my career. ... I want to become a better father, I want to become a better man to my woman, and those things take time. and time takes away from this. So the honest answer to that [retirement] question is, I don't know. Maybe so."

Lil Wayne Sorry 4 the Wait

After a year and some change of waiting for a new Weezy project, Lil Wayne drops Sorry 4 the Wait, a mixtape that acts as a precursor to Tha Carter IV. It feels like a Mayweather tune up fight: a lot of anticipation but sees a fighter/rapper who merely goes through the motions.
From the jump, “Tunechi’s Back” fails to separate itself from any of the Meek Mill remixes. Wayne takes a smash hit and sounds more Ross than Weezy. It’s sadly a trait that plagues the mixtape. For an artist who has been lauded as an originator, Sorry 4 the Wait sees Wayne sounding more like his contemporaries than himself. Without a smash on the project, Sorry 4 the Wait fails to live up to the expectations that the No Ceilings series created.
The lack of unique remixes and a massive amount of sex punchlines sees Wayne missing more punches than he lands (See "Marvin’s Room" or "Gucci Gucci" ). The albums biggest appeal is that Wayne admits that he hasn’t embraced a sober life. On “Rolling” he says “I’m talking big money, I’m talking heavyweight, I cut down on the syrup, Now I’m in better shape,” and throughout the album he mentions pills, patron and other lifestyle choices that he swore off. If the lack of sobriety doesn’t grab your interest a Jay-Z line, “gotta kill witnesses 'cause Free's beard stickin out” from “What We Do” finds its way on "Grove St. Party" in the way of “Gotta kill witnesses 'cause Baby's car red." While some may argue that it isn’t a blatant jack, at best it feels lazy.
Sorry 4 the Wait feels like an underwhelming tune up fight for a pound for pound champion. Whereas the mixtape circuit once was where Weezy attempted to back up his claim of being the best rapper alive, it is now a place that sees anything but his best work. He makes a point of saying Sorry 4 the Wait on nearly every track, and while the tape may suffice some fans, August 29th can't come quick enough. With a lackluster offering on Sorry 4 the Wait, Tha Carter IV now carries the burden of deciding his career trajectory.
