It Look Like Some Drank

Superstar rapper T.I. is back in the feds' crosshairs with new allegations he had more than Ecstasy when he was busted earlier this month.

The Grammy winner, whose real name is Clifford Harris Jr., had codeine and marijuana and tested positive for opiates, according to a petition signed by his probation officer.

On probation from a gun-possession case that landed him in federal lockup for seven months, T.I. could end up back in jail because of the extra violations.

"We are very disappointed in Mr. Harris' recent conduct. We will make our sentencing recommendation at the (probation) revocation hearing," U.S. Attorney Sally Quillian Yates said Friday.

A federal judge has ordered T.I. to appear in Atlanta and explain why he shouldn't go back to jail. A date for the hearing has not been set.

The failed test could result in additional charges for the rapper. As mentioned previously, he is already being hit with possession for the ecstasy and methamphetamines found on his person. Now, he is also facing two more possible charges. The first is associating with a convicted felon named Cortez Thomas. The second is testing positive for opiates. And all three charges are major violations of his current probation. As a reminder T.I. and his wife Tiny were pulled over the week of September 1, 2010 for making an illegal U-turn. The stop resulted in a search of the vehicle and of the couple. The car came up clean and the couple did not. Tiny too was found to be in possession of ecstasy and methamphetamines. The couple was arrested and later posted bail. They are both being charged with possession of a controlled substance. That charge could get them at least a year in prison and some hefty fines. This is a pretty steep situation for both parties, as Tiny has a history with being arrested for drug possession. And as previously mentioned, T.I. is serving a three year probation sentence for his gun charge from 2007.
If things weren't bad enough, T.I. will be facing the same judge who spared him on his gun charge, Judge Pannell. It was revealed that Judge Pannell took a whopping nine years off of Tip's original prison sentence from 2007. It is said that he was inspired to do this by Tip's remorseful attitude and the way he used his celebrity influence to positively impact troubled teens.
The rapper and his new bride Tameka Cottle were pulled over Sept. 1 after his Maybach allegedly made a U-turn on Sunset Boulevard with "a strong odor of marijuana" wafting from the vehicle, cops said.

At the time, officers said they found Ecstasy pills and arrested the couple on suspicion of felony drug possession.

T.I. is on three years supervised probation for buying unregistered machine guns and silencers.

His contact with another convicted felon the night of his drug arrest could also be a probation violation, officials said.
