Jurnee Smollett is currently appearing on two acclaimed television shows – the courtroom dramedy The Defenders with Jerry O'Connell as well as critical favorite Friday Night Lights. But when it came to her recent nuptials, the actress wanted to keep things decidedly un-Hollywood.
Tucked away in a Los Angeles botanical garden Oct. 24, and surrounded by a small group of family and close friends, the 24-year-old actress married musician Josiah Bell.
While she describes the wedding as "beautiful, moving and personal," especially since her pastor father-in-law performed the ceremony, Smollett says putting the wedding together was almost as much fun and rewarding as the main event.
