Ardi Rizal, toddler in Indonesia, smokes 40 cigarettes a day (Video Plus Pics)

 OMFG WTF THIS IS CRAZY

By now you’ve heard about Ardi Rizal, the Indonesian toddler captured in photos and video smoking two packs of cigarettes a day. The chubby lad apparently craves the smokes or otherwise throws tantrums, according to his father, who gave his son his first cigarette when he was 18 months old.

“I’m not worried about his health, he looks healthy”‘ shrugged the boy’s father Mohammad Rizal. “He cries and throws tantrums when we don’t let him smoke. He’s addicted.”
The images have shocked parents around the world, leading to widespread condemnation and concern.
The Daily Mail says nearly 3% of Indonesia’s five- to nine-year-olds are active smokers. Simon Chapman, Professor of Public Health at the University of Sydney, told the Sydney Morning Herald:
“Indonesia is unfortunately regarded as a basket case in international tobacco control. It’s regarded as a smoker’s paradise.”
