Memorial Day 2010 freebies, sales and deals

The Memorial Day sales are heating up as the three-day holiday weekend approaches. Check back tomorrow for more updates as the deals and freebies come out!

Brooks Brothers is marking everything in its stores down by 40% starting today. The sale ends Sunday, May 31, 2010. Valid at Factory stores but not online. Some caveats.

Get 25% off $100 or more at, May 27 through May 31, 2010. Use coupon code SAVE25 at checkout. Not valid at Banana Republic stores, Edition by Banana Republic, or Banana Republic Factory Store.

Sign up now to get a free spicy chicken sandwich from Chick-fil-A between May 31 and June 5, 2010. Reserving a free sandwich requires you to share your name, email, and zip code. A few other fields are optional. The freebies are limited so sign up if you are interested. This new menu item is not officially available until June 7.

Get a coupon for a free bag of popchips at Jamba Juice when you "like" the new popchips fan page on Facebook. Once you do, you'll see a link to the coupon, which you can print right then and there. You can only print the coupon once, so make sure your printer is connected and working. You won't get a second chance. The coupon should be good through May 31, 2010. I wouldn't wait too long as this is a really good freebie and is only available for a limited time. Find a Jamba Juice near you.

Get a free movie for one night at a Blockbuster Express kiosk using coupon codeGL14A. It expires June 30, 2010. Too early to see Sex and the City II in one of these kiosks, but the machines are stocking Invictus, Enemy Among Us, Dear John, and The Road. On the Blockbuster Express website, click on Movies to see what else they have. The free rental is for one night, which usually costs $1. If you keep the free movie longer than 24 hours, your credit card will be charged another buck. You do not need a Blockbuster account to use their kiosks. If you want another free rental code for Blockbuster Express, join their email list. Newbies get a free rental for joining!
Charlotte Russe's Memorial Day sale has most of the store buy one get one 50% off, including swim suits, tops, dresses, and jean shorts. Items included in the sale are clearly marked. Sale ends June 2, 2010.

eBay's Sizzling Summer Sale, which has fixed prices and is not an auction, starts today and runs through Friday May 28. All Daily Deal items come with free shipping, a sweet perk. There is a daily $1 deal and steep discounts on merchandise to prep you for the holiday weekend. Heading to the beach? eBay has inflatable beach balls for $4, thermal lunch totes for $12 and girl's Disney swimsuits starting at $13. Going sailing? T-shirts that read "I'm on a boat" are $10 a pop. Each day at 8 a.m. PST new items go on sale.

Bev Mo is having a Memorial Day sale on beer, wine, and spirits. Patron Silver Tequilla (750 ml) is $4 off, bringing the price to $40. A 12-pack of one of my favorite beers, Sam Adam's Summer Ale, is $3 off at $13. A 12-pack of Sierra Nevada Glissdale is also $3 off, at $14. Select bottles of wine are $4 off.

Sears is having a Memorial Day sale starting Friday, May 28 and running through June 1. Spend $50 this weekend and you'll get $10 off your next purchase of $25 or more on apparel, footwear or bed bath and window fashions. Spend $100 and you will get $20 off your next purchase of $50 or more in fine jewelry, housewares, luggage and mattresses. Bonuses can be redeemed June 2-8, 2010 so plan your purchases in two chunks to make the most of this sale.
Travelzoo lighted a slew of last-minute Memorial Day travel deals, including an all-inclusive St. Lucia resort for $89 a night. Take me there! The site recommends staying through Monday night because airfares are usually cheaper on Tuesday.
