Police serve search warrant on Greenwood

GREENWOOD, MO (KCTV) -

Police served a search warrant on a home in Greenwood on Wednesday evening connected to a multi-jurisdictional investigation into property crimes and drug trafficking in several Eastern Jackson County cities.

Greenwood Police Chief Robert Leslie said the search warrant under way at 900 Spruce Drive comes just days after a search warrant at 905 Spruce Drive that yielded stolen firearms and illegal drugs.

He would not specify what drugs were seized.

A young man, who Leslie said lived at 900 Spruce with his parents, was arrested at that address Wednesday by Lee's Summit Police on outstanding warrants connected to unrelated crimes in that city.

Leslie said that young man, in his late teens to early 20s, was friends with the teen at the other home and that both were suspects.

The teen at 905 Spruce is still a juvenile.

Leslie said the investigation leads police to believe drugs were being dealt from that juvenile's home as well as from several homes in Lee's Summit।
