In a fairytale wedding this past July, 25-year-old Tyrus Thomas married his fiancee' Jaime Collins at Louisiana's Old State Capitol overlooking the Mississippi River in his hometown of Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Jaime wore Vera Wang's strapless "Diana" gown, and her 'something blue' were her custom beaded Christian Louboutin heels with blue crystals
Tyrus' BFFs Garrett Temple and NBAer Glen "Big Baby" Davis were the best men who both rocked custom suits by Brown and Brown--two buttons, pique stitching and a European fit.
The ceremony was held in the old House chamber. According to the wedding planne, Audi Brown, she said, "Jaime didn't want a lot of decor because the capital is beautiful in and of itself." Agreed. But a chick can never have too many flowers...
After the ceremony, the Michael Foster Second Line Band played as the couple and their 400 guests walked in a second line parade with mardi gras 
beads and umbrellas. And the newlyweds rode in a Cinderella-style carriage.
The reception was held in the Riverview Ballroom at the Hilton Capitol Center. Chiavari chairs had lace inspired silve
r mesh and sequin accent covers. And there were custom-cut mirrors by Custom Accents made for each table and topped with candles and crystals to create a beautiful ambience. The centerpieces, by Fleur du Jour, consisted of purple hydrangeas, dendobrium orchids, calla lilies, Phalaenopsis orchids and oriental lilies.
For dinner, guests chomped on filet mignon, garlic shrimp, and crabcakes with potatoes and carrots. For dessert, brownie bites and bananas foster beignets were served. Yum!
The ice sculpture above was inspired by an African symbol for perseverance, a tattoo, which Jamie has on her wrist. The symbol was used throughout the wedding on the invitation, menu and dance
floor. The wedding planner said, "We wanted to incorporat e the symbol as a nod to Jaime and Tyrus who have maintained their relationship all of these years."
The couple shared their first dance to "Until the End of
Time" by Justin Timberlake and Beyonce.This Is The Cake WOW Nice!
