18-year-old charged in abduction of pizza driver

Clay County prosecutors today charged 18-year-old Vanesha L. Dillard in the kidnapping and robbery of a pizza delivery driver.
Dillard was charged with first-degree robbery and first-degree tampering with a motor vehicle, both felonies, according to court documents. Bond was set at $250,000.
Police said they were continuing to look for a male accomplice as well as the delivery driver’s 2005 tan Ford Focus.
The charges stem from the robbery and kidnapping of the Pizza Hut driver Monday evening while he was making a delivery to an apartment near Searcy Creek Parkway and Northeast Russell Road in Kansas City, North.
The driver told police a woman wearing a bath towel answered the door and a man came from behind him and shoved him inside.
The two robbed him and bound him with duct tape, stuffed him in his car’s trunk and abandoned him by the side of the road near Oak Grove after a 30-minute drive
