Chiefs defense keys 10-3 win over Chicago Bears

The Kansas City Chiefs defense followed up their best performance of the season last week against the Pittsburgh Steelers with an even better performance Sunday and beat the Chicago Bears 10-3 at Soldier Field.
The KC defense harassed Chicago quarterback, Caleb Hanie, with a season-high seven sacks, which helped force the young QB into tossing three interceptions, and held the Bears out of the end zone for their fifth victory of the season.
And, in what might be the most fitting piece of the Chiefs’ day considering the kind of season they’ve had offensively, the only touchdown scored by either team was on a 38-yard Hail Mary pass from Chiefs QB Tyler Palko, that running back Dexter McCluster caught as the ball was being batted down to the ground by two Bears’ defenders.
The most improbable touchdown of the year for Kansas City turned out to be the winning points in a game that turned out to be almost as painful to watch for fans of offensive football than it was for two of the key players on the field.
