Tragedy is a great teacher.
But of all the lessons it teaches, one is most potent: life can end at any time. It ended for Ajile Turner, 38, when he got into a motorcycle accident in Brooklyn on September 18 at 10:45 p.m. and died later at Brooklyn Hospital Center.
Turner was a cousin of Chi-Town MC Common and a record promoter. He lived on Brooklyn's Cumberland Street in the Fort Greene district. His Kawasaki motorbike ran into a bicycle ridden by Julian Miller, 45, also of Brooklyn, who was also killed in the collision at the corner of Greene Ave. and Washington Ave.
Turner also headed a company called The Echelon Group as CEO. Echelon specializes in producing independent concerts. No replacement has been publicly announced as of yet.
