50 Cent has rapped about getting rich. Now he's focusing on getting fit.
The hip-hop star is putting out a fitness book that's set to be
published in January 2013 by Avery Books. Titled "Formula 50: A 6-Week
Total Body Transformation Plan," the book will tout metabolic resistance
training as the key to getting in shape. It will also include a
nutrition guide.
The buff rapper says he wants to help people "make positive changes and take charge of their overall health."
"Formula 50" will be the latest credit for 50 Cent as an author. He
recently released the teen novel "Playground" and also wrote "Pieces to
Weight, The 50th Law."
The rapper's latest book will be co-written by Jeff O'Connell, editor-in-chief of Bodybuilding.com.

Two men fromNew Britainbroke into rapper50 Cent's mansion early this morning and hid in closets when police arrived.
The suspects, Alexander Hernandez and Santos Padilla, were likely intoxicated before arriving at the Poplar Hills Drive property, police said.
Hernandez was found in a closet drinking a bottle of wine that he had stolen from the home, police said. Padilla was found in a separate closet. Both men were in possession of marijuana.Security guards are at the mansion 24-hours a day, police said. One of them left his post at the front gate briefly and, when he returned, noticed an empty 2005 Mazda M3 parked outside the gate.
He called police immediately at 6 a.m. As he spoke to officers who had responded to the home, another security guard found Hernandez in the closet and called out to the officers, police said.
There were no signs of forced entry, said police spokesman Lt. Marshall Porter. Police believe Hernandez and Padilla scaled the fence to get onto the property then found an unlocked door to get inside the mansion, Porter said.
Hernandez and Padilla were charged with third-degree burglary, second-degree criminal trespass and possession of marijuana.
Hernandez was released on a $50,000 non-surety bail. He was turned over to police in New Britain where he is wanted on outstanding warrants. Padilla was held with bail set at $50,000
Rap star 50 Cent has been hit with a lawsuit claiming he stole the idea for his movie and album Before I Self Destruct was stolen from a book titled The Preacher’s Son-But The Streets Turned Me Into A Gangster.
The lawsuit, which was filed in United States District Court of New Jersey by the book's author Shadrach Winstead.
Winstead claims he owns the copyright to the book The Preacher's Son-But The Streets Turned Me Into A Gangster, which was released in 2008.
According to Winstead, 50 Cent stole the concepts for his November 2009 album and accompanying movie Before I Self Destruct, from Winstead's book.
"The defendant infringed the copyright by publishing and selling an audio visual work (a movie released in DVD format), coupled with an audio recording (“recordings”)," Winstead's complaint reads. "In many cases, the content and word choice used by Defendants in their work is identical to that used in Plaintiff’s book."
Winstead's lawsuit seeks an undisclosed amount in damages.

And it looks like that dream will stay unfulfilled because a rep for “EastEnders” stated “'We're flattered he's a fan but there have been no talks about him appearing in the show.”
In the clip, Davis says that Capitol recently recruited Fif and Lloyd Banks—who is currently a free agent, since getting dropped from Interscope. G-Unit insiders deny the validity of these statements.
The Queens native is currently gearing for a series of tour dates in Brazil and the Democratic Republic of Congo with Banks and Yayo. The G-Unit soldiers will start their trek at Wet n’ Wild on July 9 in Salvador, Brazil and conclude in Brazzaville, Congo’s Stade Massemba-Débat.
Who knew that 50 Cent has a softer side? The big bad rapper says he's considering trading in his tough-guy persona to star in a romantic comedy.
"It would be interesting for people to see that side of me," he says. "It would be a challenge, but I've seen artists like Ice Cube [who has starred in an array of films] transition and challenge themselves. "

In an Internet hoax, the Queens rapper fabricated a story about being hospitalized in a jibe at rival Fat Joe.
Around 5:40 this afternoon, a tweet from the TonyYayo Twitter account posted the message "On my way to the hospital. Keep 50 in ya'll prayers. Let's see him thru this." Concerned retweets and replies ensued.
Shortly after, a bogus news story with the headline "Breaking News: 50 Cent Rushed To The Hospital" was posted to Fif's social networking blog, thisis50.com. The story read:
This afternoon while in his Manhattan offices, employees say that 50 Cent was listening to Fat Joe's new album, J.O.S.E. 2 when all the sudden, he collapsed! An ambulance was called, and by the time they arrived, 50 Cent regained consciousness and was complaining of blurred vision and a severe migraine. 50 Cent was rushed to Mt. Sinai hospital at 4:26 pm.
Doctors say after performing a Cat Scan and EKG there seems to be some damage to his auditory cortex, which is the region of the brain that is responsible for processing sound.
The post has a link to a free download of Fat Joe's upcoming J.O.S.E.2 album, with a disclaimer reading, "This sucks!!! Download at your own risk."
Hours later, around 11 p.m., a video of 50 in a hospital hit YouTube, with the Queens rapper hugging his son and crying due to the "trauma" of listening to Fat Joe's album.
The video mark the second time 50 Cent has boo-hooed to mock Fat Joe. After the Bronx MC sold 46,100 first-week copies of his Elephant in the Room album in 2008, 50 Cent dropped a video to the web called "Fat Joe's Funeral," pseudo sobbing during a 21-gun salute for Joe's career.

Free food and drinks were consumed, a Michael Jackson freestyle was performed, along with a few numbers from his more recent mixtapes and albums. New York, NY – Sometime last week, it was reported that Shady/Aftermath artist, 50 Cent, released a track entitled ‘Flight 187’off of a new mixtape in a slew of mixtapes he has been releasing in the past couple of months. On that track, it was initially thought that the G-Unit General was taking blatant shots at the icon Jay-Z.
On the verse, 50 spits:
"Jay rockin' that Urkel look, isn't he from Marcy?/ They say he growing dreads and now he's talking like a Yardie."
To many people it sounds like he was dissing Jay-Z, but according to 50, there is no beef and that wasn’t a diss. He recently spoke to MTV News as they inquired about the lyrics in question.

Hundreds lined up at a midtown Barnes & Noble bookstore to meet Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson, there promoting "The 50th Law," a self-help book he wrote with Robert Greene.
"It's an opportunity to inspire hope," said the Queens rapper about his book, which aims to teach people how to live without fear.
Fitty said he became a fan of the how-to-succeed guru after reading Greene's tomes - including "The 48 Laws of Power," and "The Art of Seduction" - and approached him several years ago to suggest a collaboration.
"Obviously, I've been using his 'Art of Seduction' tactics more than he does," he joked.
Fitty dropped his tough-guy image for the afternoon, smiling, shaking hands and chatting with everyone.
